White Oak Farm Venue is a picturesque 83-acre property located just outside Michigan City, Indiana.
It’s a highly sought-after destination for weddings and special events, featuring two beautiful barn venues, open fields, wooded areas, a meadow, and a pond.

What They Needed
White Oak Farm Venue receives a lot of foot traffic throughout the season. In fact, it hosts anywhere from three to five weddings a week! As expected, their floors deal with constant issues, including shoe marks, spills, and confetti.
In January 2025, the owners, Greg and Rebecca Engstrom, reached out to us. Their current flooring wasn’t performing well, and they needed a timely solution that didn’t interrupt their upcoming events.
The problem was they’d built their facility in 2019, and their original flooring had been installed by a contractor who’d used a cure-and-seal application. As a result, the floor was very difficult to clean, and the look and feel didn’t match the venue’s brand or aesthetic.
Greg and Rebecca needed a solution that looked beautiful, was appropriate for their brand, could stand up to heavy use, and was easy to clean and maintain.
What We Did
We were initially hired to complete Phase 1, and after seeing the results, the owners brought us back for Phase 2.

Phase 1
Phase 1 was completed in January 2025 after we installed a polished concrete floor in the main wedding venue. The install was just over 4,000 square feet.
In addition, we applied floor coatings in a bridal room, a kitchen, and two bathrooms.
The project replaced the former, dull, stained concrete with new, non-porous, and easy-to-clean surfaces that better matched the venue’s rustic style.
Phase 2
We were brought back after the initial phase to complete additional work for the property’s second barn. We installed 1,500 square feet of polished concrete to update the look and feel of the space.
